Recently I visited with some local elementary school teachers and they expressed dismay that Ron Nate voted against several key education bills. I researched the legislative records and it was very enlightening. I discovered that Mr. Nate voted no against 14 educational bills, including the following: He voted No against Teacher Health Insurance, which simply allows school districts to join the state insurance program (House bill H0443), No against Teacher Bonuses (SB1404), No against All-day Kindergarten which provides great advantages to beginning students (H790), No against funding Higher Education Budget for Universities (H776)
Additionally, Ron Nate wants to defund our public schools and spend our tax dollars on vouchers and private education. On a positive note, Britt Raybould is an ardent supporter of a strong public school system.
While Mr. Nate votes No against our public schools, Britt will actively support Idaho’s constitutional mandate to fully fund public education and our great schools in Madison County. There is a compelling reason to vote for Britt. Britt will positively provide our students with the best opportunities and advantages, and support our teachers and our great schools in Madison County.
To become informed, talk with your child’s teacher and get their insight and perspective. Call your District 34 Representatives, Jon Weber, and Doug Ricks, and get their perspective.
Definitely take a look at Britt’s website, Britt4Idaho. It’s amazing! Britt designed and set up the entire website herself. She is very resourceful and dynamic. Be sure to catch the insightful endorsement on her site from Mack Shirley, the 5-term Representative from Madison County (retired).
When you come to realize that Britt will best represent us in the Legislature, please reach out to friends and neighbors and share your thoughts.
I’m happy to support Britt Raybould for the Legislature. She is highly respected in our community, and I feel deeply that she will bring dignity, honor, and leadership to the office. Britt has a genuine desire to support our schools and address our needs here in Madison County!
To be able to vote, you can register to vote Republican at the County Clerk’s office directly across the parking lot from Walgreens.
Please join with me in voting for Britt Raybould in the Primary election on May 17. I believe she truly reflects the values and ideals of the voters of Madison County.
